More than 4,350 items from Treasury’s vault will be available to bid on


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced that the next online auction of unclaimed property will take place on Wednesday, March 27. This auction includes jewelry, currency, precious metals, and many other items that have been safeguarded in Treasury’s vault for more than three years.

Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today commended members of the Pennsylvania House Finance Committee for unanimously advancing House Bill 2119, which will allow rollovers of PA 529 College and Career Savings Program account balances into a beneficiary’s Roth IRA free of state taxes. HB 2119 is sponsored by Rep. Greg Scott (D-54) and Rep. Steve Samuelson (D-135).

HB 1745 will create an employer tax credit for contributions to employees’ accounts


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today commended members of the Pennsylvania House for unanimously approving House Bill 1745, sponsored by Rep. Paul Friel (D-26), which will provide a tax credit for employers who contribute to PA 529 College and Career Savings Program accounts owned by their employees. The bill includes an amendment sponsored by Rep. Joe Emrick (R-137) to extend the same benefit to employers who contribute to employees’ PA ABLE Savings Program accounts. PA ABLE is a savings program for Pennsylvanians with disabilities.
