For the first time ever, Pennsylvania will return unclaimed property automatically


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced today that more than 8,000 Pennsylvanians will receive letters this week indicating that unclaimed property will be automatically returned to them. This marks the first step in the new Pennsylvania Money Match program, which was approved unanimously by the General Assembly and signed by the Governor in July.

Treasurer Stacy Garrity Launches New Portal to Simplify Pennsylvania Tax Appeals


Harrisburg, PA - Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced the launch of the new online Tax Appeal Portal to streamline Pennsylvania’s tax appeal process. Taxpayers and tax practitioners filing appeals with the Department of Revenue (DOR) through the Board of Finance & Revenue (BF&R) can now find all applicable forms in one convenient online location.

Treasurer Stacy Garrity Announces New Record for Unclaimed Property Auction Proceeds

The fall 2024 unclaimed property auction generated more than $605,000, more than double the previous record.


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced today that Treasury’s fall unclaimed property auction brought in more than $605,000, the most ever generated by such an auction in Pennsylvania. The previous record, $298,000, was set in October 2023.

Treasurer Garrity Announces Increased Contribution Limit for PA ABLE Accounts

Pennsylvanians with disabilities can now save up to $19,000 annually


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced that the annual contribution limit for PA ABLE, a savings program for people with disabilities, increased to $19,000. The change is a result of IRS inflation adjustments for 2025 and took effect January 1, 2025. The previous limit was $18,000.

Youngsville, PA - Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-21), Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-65) and Vern Edmisten, Chief of the Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department, announced today that nearly $13,000 in unclaimed property has been returned to the Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department, with the help of the Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry.
