Treasurer Stacy Garrity Announces New Deputy Treasurer for Comptroller Operations


Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity today announced the promotion of Christopher Bonifanti to assume the role of Deputy Treasurer for Comptroller Operations.

Bonifanti has worked for Treasury for more than 20 years, most recently as Director of Comptroller Operations. He previously served as Assistant Comptroller, Accountant IV, and Compliance Specialist within the Comptroller’s Office. He also served as an Audit Specialist and Auditor with Treasury’s Bureau of Unclaimed Property.

Deputy Treasurer for Comptroller Operations Christopher Bonifanti

The Deputy Treasurer for Comptroller Operations works closely with bureaus within Treasury and with many state agencies. The Comptroller oversees public financial management, audits governmental operations, ensures compliance with fiscal laws, and promotes transparency and accountability for the use of taxpayer funds.


Bonifanti received his Bachelor of Science in Management from Penn State University in 2004. Bonifanti became a certified public accountant in 2015.
